The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has ranked India 48th among the safest countries for aviation. The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) announced in a series of tweets that the ICAO has given the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) the highest Effective Implementation (EI) score of 85.49 percent.

India and Georgia hold the 48th rank, both achieving a score of 85.49 percent. Neighboring Pakistan secures the 100th rank with a score of 70.39 percent. Singapore claims the top position in the rankings with a score of 99.69 percent, followed by the UAE in the second position with a score of 98.8 percent, and the Republic of Korea in the third position.
