Masinagudi is a small village located in Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiri district, at the heart of Ooty and Mysore. Practiced mahouts (men who train elephants) train the elephants to a variety of chores, while the kumkis (working elephants) do patrolling, giving rides to visitors and performing puja worshipping God Ganesh. Moyar River

Bandipur National Park

Ways to Reach Masinagudi

The best way to reach Masinagudi is through roads as it has many road connections from Tamil Nadu and neighboring states of Kerala and Karnataka. You can always book a car and drive yourself or hire a person who drives you to the location.

If you are traveling by trains, you can either choose from Mysore Junction railway station, which is about 94 km away, or Coimbatore railway station which is 120 km away from Masinagudi. You can get off at any of the 2 stations and take a taxi available outside to Masinagudi.
