Dog, cat, fish, bird, reptile or any pet you can think of, these pet – friendly airlines allow it all. If you are not sure about their safety while flying, we’ll be listing out the names of these airlines. They offer so many options to keep your pet companion with you.

American Airlines

If you can fit your small pet friend into a small carrier that can be placed underneath the seat in front of you, you can bring them aboard. Even fully – trained service dogs can fly with you free of charge, if they meet the standards of American Airlines. You can board flights lasting 12 hours if your pet is small and fits into a pet carrier. They can fly safely with you for an additional $125 to $200, depending on the flight and the pet you’ll be taking for the journey.

But what if your pet is bigger in size?

And if your pet is bigger in size, you can use the airline’s American PetEmbark program. They will be carried carefully in a temperature controlled, oxygenated and pressurised compartment for cargo. You can access this service easily and the charges vary, depending on the size of your pet and your destination. Thanks to all the good reviews, it’s totally worth it! So, if you’re ready to fly, book YYZ to DEL flights immediately!

JetBlue

JetBlue has its own pet perks program called JetPaws. This service provides your pet with a suitable pet carrier for the journey. They also offer a list of tips you can take care of when flying with your pet, along with 300 TrueBlue points!

Small pets such as cats and dogs are all welcome aboard the flight in all their cabin classes, except Mint (i.e. first class). It will only cost you $125. And you will have enough space to stretch your legs even after the carrier is placed safely.

What if you have a service dog?

If you have a service dog, they are also allowed onboard. And if they are small enough to fit safely in your lap, they won’t need to remain on the floor for the flight duration. Larger pets are not allowed however, because JetBlue currently does not have that facility yet.

Air Canada

Air Canada is one of the most accommodating airlines when it comes to flying with your pets. You can bring your pet along even when you are flying with Air Canada Rouge, or Air Canada Express flights operated by Jazz. If you want to keep your pets in the cabin, you need to let the airline know beforehand. The price is very nominal at $50 to $100, making it one of the most affordable airlines to fly with pets.

What if the pets are larger or if you have exotic pets?

If your pets are large, fishes or insects, they need to fly via cargo or checked – luggage. These are both affordable options and the fees set you back by $120 to $320. Service dogs can fly with you onboard the flight free of charge but they need to be harnessed or have a leash on at all times.
