Flyopedia knows that job opportunities in Canada are plentiful. Unsurprisingly, you are planning to move to Canada for professional opportunities too. But most, if not all, economic immigration programs need proof of language. Hence, taking one of these language exams becomes important if you want a smooth immigration experience. Learn more about them and Book cheap flights from Delhi to Toronto with us!
Whether you want to move to Canada as a student or have a job under the Express Entry system, you will need to undergo a language test. If you bar a few exceptions like spousal sponsorships or temporary immigration programs like the IEC, language exams play a pretty important role in ensuring you have a seamless immigration to Canada.
Although it depends on the province you’re about to move into, you will need either a French or an English test as a part of your Express Entry program application. If you are relevantly proficient in both French and English languages, you attain extra points. Though there are different language tests available there, only some are accepted for the Express Entry program.
English is the most readily taught language worldwide. So, English speakers can usually go for either of the 2 tests – either International English Language Testing System (IELTS) General or Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) General. Both of these tests are acceptable equally for the application. But IELTS is widely available and more accepted worldwide.
French speakers can go for either of these 2 tests – either TEF Canada or TCF Canada. Both of these tests are accepted for the Express Entry program application. You can do these tests while you’re anywhere in the world. So, if you plan on giving these tests in India, grab delhi to Montreal direct flight with us soon!
According to the rules, all candidates need to have a valid language test in their profile. If the test reaches the expiration date, i.e. it turns 2 years old, before you submit your final application for permanent residence, you need to take a new test. If your language test results expire while you’re in the Express Entry pool, your profile will become ineligible unless you provide new test results.
Canada developed an equivalency rating system for the four recognized language tests accepted by the country, each with its own rating system. Their results are given a score from 1 to 10 in a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) equivalent. This is so that candidates who sit in different language tests can be ranked fairly and equally.
With the equality and fairness of these language tests, Canada sets a benchmark for new candidates looking for study or job prospects. This not only aims to help individuals get better opportunities from their home country, but also have something to look forward to in the new country.
So, if you are one of the new candidates, good luck exploring the new world in front of you! And if you ever need to return to your home, we’ll be here providing direct flights from Delhi to Canada for you. Start planning.
