Air Canada is among the air carriers that offer special meals to Premium, Executive, and Economy classes passengers. Special Meals Offers by flight attendants during flights to Asian countries like India and other destinations such as North America, Australia, Europe, and South America.

In general, the inflight special meals by Air Canada include ‘Asian vegetarian meals, Baby meals, Bland meals, Children’s meals, Diabetic meals, Fruit plate meals, Gluten intolerant meals, Hindu meals, Kosher meals, Low-calorie meals, Low-fat meals, Low lactose meals, Low salt meal, Muslim meal, Vegetarian meal (non-dairy), Vegetarian meal (lacto-ovo) and Vegetarian oriental meal’.

While traveling on either last minute flights or planned flights with Air Canada, you would require to informing the airline about your meal preference (special meal) 18 hours prior to the boarding time of the flight. The inflight special meal service is available for air flyers who have more than 2 hours of the itinerary. Also, in case you desire to eat a Kosher meal on board with Air Canada, then you would need to inform the airline crew 24 hours before boarding the flight.

You can expect ingredients like nuts and seafood in the meals offered by Air Canada. However, if you are allergic to such elements, then you must ask the cabin staff to avoid particular things from your meal while booking a special meal request with Air Canada.

On Air Canada flights for either business class tickets or other class tickets, MRE (Meals Ready to Eat), as well as homemade beverages are not allowed to be carried on board. The air Canada carrier allows passengers to bring Meals Ready to Eat and beverages purchased at the departure or connecting airport on board. However, Air Canada strictly prohibits any beverage that may contain more than 100 ml of alcohol on its flights. For short-haul flights, Air Canada doesn’t allow the intake of beverages or food.

During cheap flights Canada, domestic flights, or flights between the US and Canada (with 90+ minutes travel duration), Air Canada offers OnBoard Café service. This includes special items for Economy Class passengers. However, the OnBoard Café does not include special meals. Moreover, Air Canada doesn’t provide hot meals on Embraer aircraft.
