Terminals of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

The two main terminals at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport are Terminals 1 and 2, which are further separated into levels.

Station 1 (Domestic)

Santacruz is home to Terminal 1 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport. It had three sub-terminals at first: 1A, 1B, and 1C.

  1. Terminal 1A: It is the oldest terminal, and was decommissioned in 2016.
  2. Terminal 1B: Domestic arrivals and departures take place here, including IndiGo, SpiceJet, and GoAir.
  3. Terminal 1C: It serves as a hub between Terminals 1A and 1B and has six boarding bridges. All airlines used it as a boarding-only facility. Mumbai International Airport Limited, the airport’s operator, is on Level 1 (MIAL).

After Terminal 1A was closed in 2017, Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), the airport’s operator, renamed Terminal 1B to Terminal 1.

Station 2 (International)

All international arrivals and departures are handled at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 2, which is situated in Sahar. Additionally, this terminal serves as a departure point for a number of domestic carriers, including Jet Airways, Vistara, and Air India. Buses: Passengers can take local buses to the close-by train stations Andheri and Vile Parle from Terminals 1 (Domestic) and 2 (International).
